The star of “The Hunt” and “Hannibal” stars alongside Armand Assante and Adriana Barraza in the drama from director Diego Rafecas.

Mads Mikkelsen, the star of NBC’s Hannibal and Thomas Vinterberg’s Oscar-nominated The Hunt, has joined First Law, a feature written and directed by Argentine helmer Diego Rafecas (Paco).

Veteran actors Armand Assante (Judge Dredd) and the Oscar-nominated Adriana Barraza (Babel) co-star in the feature, for which Stealth Media Group is handling international sales. Stealth will be showing footage of First Law to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin.

The plot of First Law has two very different brothers – one an executive of a corrupt multi-national the other under the wing of a tribal shaman – who have to choose where their loyalties lie when their ancestral home faces destruction. First Law is produced by Marcelo Laccarino and Michael Tadross Jr. for Argentine-based Zazen Producciones, Francesco Di Silvio for Reservoir Pictures, Edouard de Ligne for Rosebud Entertainment Pictures and Pasquale Zaza for Z Entertainment.
Stealth Media Group plans to bow the finished film in Cannes this May.
